CATS is a utility which changes the font style used for alias names.
... and why
System 7 uses italic type to designate aliases. Unfortunately, italic type is difficult to read when the type is in small sizes. You can use CATS to change the alias style to any (or any combination) of the following.
plain text outline
bold shadow
italic condensed*
underline extended*
(*DOCMaker doesn't support condensed and extended styles, so you'll have to use your imagination here. Condensed type has narrower spaces between characters and extended type has wider spaces.)
Please read the rest of the manual thoroughly before using CATS, as improper use could damage the System file.
CATS is ShareWare. Although it is not the type of utility you may use often, if you do use it you should register the program using the Registration form contained at the end of this document.
